About Our CQC Cleaning Services
Alliance Cleaning provides specialist cleaning services for CQC-registered healthcare and social care providers across the UK.
We understand the regulatory pressures registered managers face because we have served care homes, hospitals, clinics, and dental practices throughout our 28 years in commercial cleaning.
Our documentation systems, infection control protocols, and quality assurance programme support your CQC compliance consistently, not just at inspection time.
Just some of our services
What is the Care Quality Commission (CQC)?
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.
Registered providers are assessed against five key questions:
- Is the service safe?
- Is it effective?
- Is it caring?
- Is it responsive?
- Is it well-led?
For cleaning and hygiene, three domains matter most.
Under “Safe”, inspectors examine infection prevention measures and environmental cleanliness. Under “Effective”, they assess whether your environment supports positive care outcomes. Under “Well-led”, they look for quality assurance systems and evidence of continuous improvement.
Regulation 15 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 requires that premises are clean, safe, suitable for their purpose, and properly maintained.
The National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025 add a risk-based framework that reaches beyond hospitals to GP surgeries, care homes, and dental practices.
Inspectors want to see a proper functioning system, not just clean surfaces.

How Alliance Cleaning Supports CQC Compliance
Our services help CQC-registered providers meet and maintain regulatory standards from day one.
Documentation and Evidence
Our ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System produces the documented evidence inspectors expect. We provide written cleaning specifications for your facility and maintain staff training records with competency assessments. Regular quality audit reports demonstrate your monitoring regime. Cleaning schedules and completion logs, product specifications with COSHH data, and incident reports with corrective actions form part of our standard documentation package. Through our client portal, you have real-time access to everything, so when inspectors arrive, you are ready.
Quality Assurance Programme
Your premises receive a visit from our Quality Assurance Manager at least once a quarter for objective testing, an approach we describe as “making the invisible visible”. ATP swab testing measures surface cleanliness scientifically. Floor slip testing checks safety compliance. We also monitor indoor air quality and measure chemical pH levels to confirm cleaning solutions are correctly concentrated and safe. All results are documented and available through the client portal, giving you a clear audit trail across the contract.
Infection Prevention and Control
The Alliance Cleaning Ecosystem targets the transmission pathways through which infections spread. We clean and disinfect in a single step using TECcare CONTROL, a broad-spectrum disinfectant that is alcohol-free, chlorine-free, and non-corrosive, which makes it suitable for use around sensitive medical equipment and the people in your care. Colour-coded microfibre equipment prevents cross-contamination, enhanced protocols cover high-risk and high-touch areas, and our teams support you when outbreaks occur.
Staff Training and Vetting
Every team member completes training through the Alliance Pathway, our structured development programme. In CQC-regulated environments this covers infection prevention and control, health and safety, COSHH awareness, safe waste handling and segregation, and safeguarding. Competency assessments are documented and available for inspection. Staff working in regulated settings undergo enhanced DBS checks, reference verification, and right-to-work screening.
Why Choose Alliance Cleaning as Your CQC Cleaning Company?
We have been delivering contract cleaning services since 1998, and healthcare and social care are among the sectors where our compliance-led approach matters most.
Triple ISO Accreditation
Our ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety) certifications reflect how we operate every day. Environmental responsibility is built into our processes as standard because ISO 14001 requires us to identify, control, and continuously improve our environmental impact across every contract. For healthcare and social care providers with their own sustainability responsibilities, that matters.
Attention That Comes as Standard
Our contract managers look after fewer sites than the industry norm, which means your facility receives more consistent attention. Contracted clients get a response to their first service request within one hour, backed by mobile support teams. And as a family-run business, we take care in doing things properly, values that align naturally with organisations delivering regulated care.
ESG
Environmental responsibility is built into every contract as standard because our ISO 14001 certification requires us to measure, control, and continuously improve our impact rather than treat it as an optional extra. In practice that means eco-friendly products, reusable microfibre materials, and water-efficient cleaning methods on your site. And because we document it all, you have ready evidence for your own ESG reporting.
"Registered managers carry enormous responsibility, and what they need is more than a cleaning company. They need someone who understands what inspectors look for and keeps the documentation ready without being asked. We have been doing this long enough to know that peace of mind matters as much as the clean itself."
Danny Bishop, CEO
Getting Started
We begin with a free consultation and site assessment.
We discuss your CQC registration category, inspection history, and compliance requirements, then develop a cleaning specification designed around your facility. Once you proceed, we complete risk assessments and method statements, recruit and vet appropriate staff, and give supervisors a site-specific induction. Your quarterly QA programme is in place from day one.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Alliance Cleaning have experience with CQC-registered facilities?
Yes. We have cleaned healthcare and social care environments throughout our 28 years in commercial cleaning. We understand the regulatory framework, what inspectors look for, and what registered managers need to demonstrate compliance, and our documentation systems are built around CQC requirements.
What evidence can you provide for CQC inspections?
We provide documented evidence through our ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System. This includes cleaning schedules and specifications, staff training records with competency assessments, quality audit reports from quarterly visits, and ATP testing data showing surface cleanliness levels. Our client portal gives you 360-degree visibility of contract data, so documentation is ready when inspectors arrive.
How do you support infection prevention and control?
The Alliance Cleaning Ecosystem is designed to break the chain of infection. We use TECcare CONTROL, a broad-spectrum disinfectant that cleans and disinfects in a single step, with enhanced protocols for high-risk areas and high-touch surfaces. ATP swab testing verifies cleaning effectiveness scientifically, colour-coded equipment prevents cross-contamination, and we support outbreak response when incidents occur.
Are your staff trained for CQC-regulated environments?
Yes. Every team member completes training through our Alliance Pathway programme. For CQC environments, this covers infection prevention and control, health and safety, COSHH awareness, safe waste handling, and safeguarding. We maintain documented competency assessments, and records are available for CQC inspection whenever you need them.
Can you provide cleaning for different types of CQC-registered services?
We serve all CQC-registered categories: care homes, nursing homes, hospitals, GP surgeries, dental practices, clinics, hospices, rehabilitation centres, and specialist care facilities. Each specification is designed around your facility because a care home’s needs differ from those of a dental practice or independent hospital.
How do you verify cleaning effectiveness?
Our Quality Assurance Manager visits at least once a quarter to conduct objective testing. ATP swab testing measures surface cleanliness scientifically, floor slip testing checks safety compliance, and we monitor indoor air quality and chemical pH levels. Visual inspections complement the scientific testing, and all results are available through the client portal.
Do you have ISO certifications relevant to CQC compliance?
Yes, we hold triple ISO accreditation. ISO 9001 certifies our Quality Management System, demonstrating systematic processes and continuous improvement. ISO 14001 covers environmental management, supporting the sustainability commitments built into our contracts. ISO 45001 certifies our occupational health and safety management. Together they show inspectors that we operate professionally and systematically.
Can you provide references from other CQC-registered providers?
Yes, we serve care homes, healthcare facilities, and medical practices across the UK. With client permission, we can provide references and testimonials from CQC-registered providers. Our long-term relationships with healthcare sector clients demonstrate consistent delivery over time.
How can Alliance Cleaning support our ESG commitments?
ESG is built into how we work as standard. Our ISO 14001 certification requires us to identify, control, and continuously improve our environmental impact on every contract, and we use eco-friendly products, reusable microfibre materials, and water-efficient methods. Because many CQC-registered providers report on sustainability themselves, we supply the documentation to evidence it.
